We started with sports car rentals. Losing our C8 Corvette changed how we thought about vehicle security, and what we wanted to build.

The experience behind our work
We know what it means
to lose a vehicle.
Corsa Nero began as a sports car rental company. We built our business around vehicles we loved and the experience of sharing them with our customers.
Then our C8 Corvette was stolen. It had a plug in OBD tracker, but no kill switch. The tracker was unplugged and the OnStar equipment was removed. We were left without location updates or an installed immobilizer.
We turned to the police and hoped the Corvette would be recovered. As time passed without its return, that hope gradually faded. Insurance did not cover our loss, leaving our business to absorb a devastating financial setback.
We knew we needed to rethink how we protected our fleet. We added concealed kill switches and began offering installation to other vehicle owners. What started as a response to our own loss became a service for people who value their vehicles as much as we do.

Corsa Nero Security
The next chapter
of our story.
That experience also led us to create Corsa Nero Security, our own vehicle tracking and security brand. We are building a range that brings vehicle information and additional security options into owners’ hands.
Tracking and immobilization serve different purposes.
A plug in tracker is convenient and removable. A concealed kill switch adds a separate layer of protection. Neither guarantees theft prevention or recovery. Current Trackhawk installations use a different platform from Nero devices.
Remote immobilization is only for a confirmed stolen vehicle that is safely stopped with its engine off. Never activate it while the vehicle is moving or running.
